New tours join the programme every year – not because the classics are no longer worth riding, but because there is still so much to discover. Our new cycling tours open up regions that have rarely featured in organised cycling holidays: the Atlantic coast of Galicia, the islands of the Inner Hebrides, the spa towns of the Bohemian triangle, the lagoons of Friuli.
The range runs from relaxed discovery tours to serious sporting challenges – from the Bike tour around Lake Geneva with 35 kilometres per day and a boat trip included, to the Cycle tour from Hamburg to Copenhagen for active people covering 80 kilometres a day over eleven stages. Luggage transfer and bed and breakfast accommodation are included on all tours.
Because new tours haven't yet built up the booking momentum of our bestsellers, departure dates are often readily available – but not indefinitely. If you have a new route in mind, it's worth booking early.
Show more Show lessThose who know the feeling of discovering a region properly from the saddle tend to look for destinations that not everyone has ridden yet. The Biketour in Friuli starts in Udine and heads through the far northeast of Italy – lagoons, vineyards, UNESCO World Heritage Cividale. The Cycle Tour on the coast of Galicia follows the coastal Camino de Santiago all the way to the cathedral city.
For something more remote: the Biketour on the Inner Hebrides visits Arran, Islay, Jura and Colonsay – islands that have rarely featured in organised cycling holidays before. Stage lengths vary across these tours; the quality of the organisation remains the same.
Not all new tours are designed for leisurely progress. The sporty cycle holiday in Bavaria covers 75 kilometres a day with stage length 5 – a genuine challenge through the Bavarian Alps. The Cycle tour from Hamburg to Copenhagen for active people clocks 80 kilometres per day across eleven stages – North Sea-Baltic Canal, Baltic coast and Danish islands. And the Bike tour Majorca takes on the Tramuntana Mountains, now with a gravel bike option.
Sporty cycling holidays demand good route preparation and reliable accommodation at the end of a long day. Both are, of course, included.
New destinations aren't only for the sporty. The Bike tour around Lake Geneva has stage length 1 – 35 kilometres a day, boat trip included, with views of the Alps and vineyards. The Family holiday by bike in Portugal follows stage length 1 across flat terrain through the north of the country, with airport transfer included. And the Cycle Tour in the Cotswolds also comes in at stage length 1 – 40 kilometres a day through one of England's most beautiful areas of outstanding natural beauty.
Those looking to explore somewhere new without pushing their limits will find some of the quietest and most scenic tours in the entire programme among the new additions.
Are new tours as reliable as well-established routes?
Yes. Before any tour joins the programme, routes, hotels and logistics are checked on the ground. New to the programme doesn't mean untested – it means not previously on offer. Occasionally we also include selected tours from other operators that meet our quality standards.
Will more new tours be added during the year?
Yes. The programme grows throughout the year – it's worth checking back on this page regularly. Those who want to be among the first to hear about new tours can subscribe to our newsletter, which appears around six times a year and covers new destinations and current offers.
