Day 1: Individual arrival in King's Lynn

Welcome to the historic harbor town of King's Lynn! The former Hanseatic town enchants with its medieval architecture, impressive churches and the lively flair of a market square that has formed the heart of the region for centuries. Stroll through the cobbled streets of the old town, discover the elegant customs house on the riverside or treat yourself to a cream tea in one of the traditional cafés. If you want to delve deeper into history, visit the Lynn Museum - where England's "Seahenge" awaits curious visitors.

Day 2: King's Lynn – Burnham Market, approx. 40 / 50 km

A royal start to your cycle tour: Sandringham Castle, the private country estate of the British monarchs, invites you to take a stroll through magnificent gardens and an exciting museum. The route then takes you along quiet country roads through an open, wide coastal landscape. Depending on the route, you can either take in the glowing red cliffs of Hunstanton with sweeping views over the North Sea or head straight to the stylish Burnham Market. Small galleries, individual boutiques and a touch of luxury await you there. An ideal place for connoisseurs.

Day 3: Burnham Market – Holt, approx. 40 km

One of the most beautiful stages of your trip: You cycle through the picturesque Holkham Estate with its magnificent manor house and spacious parks. Then you cycle through sparse pine forests to the sandy beach of Holkham Bay – a place of wild, unspoiled beauty. In Wells-next-the-Sea you will experience maritime life before continuing through the lovely Glaven Valley and via the historic Binham Priory to charming Holt. The small Georgian town offers fine cuisine, arts and crafts and cosy tea rooms.

Day 4: Tour around Holt, approx. 40 / 30 km + train ride

Today offers plenty of variety – and makes your bike tour in Norfolk particularly worth experiencing. Explore Morston and Blakeney, two quaint fishing villages with a touch of adventure: between April and October, you can go on seal trips into the Wadden Sea. Or hop on the nostalgic steam train to Sheringham (not included). The time-honored seaside resort attracts visitors with fresh fish, Victorian charm and the impressive Sheringham Park. The day ends in Holt with a pint in the pub or a visit to the Owl Tea Room.

Day 5: Holt – Norwich, approx. 60 km

You leave the coastal region and cycle through gently undulating fields towards Aylsham. Particularly worth seeing is the magnificent Blickling Hall manor house with its enchanted garden and links to Tudor history. From here, your route follows the idyllic Marriott's Way – a car-free cycle path along an old railroad line, flanked by hedge roses and old bridges. In Norwich, urban life with a medieval flair awaits you: explore the mighty cathedral, stroll through the "Lanes" or indulge in culinary delights at the market.

Day 6: Norwich – North Elmham, approx. 50 km

In the morning, you leave Norwich behind and cycle into the heart of Norfolk – the bike tour in Norfolk shows its rural and idyllic side here. The imposing abbey church of Wymondham, a jewel of medieval brick architecture, soon appears. Through small, historic villages such as Mattishall and the charming Swanton Morley with its American-influenced history, you approach your destination for the day. In North Elmham, the atmospheric ruins of a bishop's seat await you – perfect for an evening stroll before dinner at the local inn.

Day 7: North Elmham – King's Lynn, approx. 50 / 60 km

For the finale of your round tour in Norfolk, you will once again experience the full panorama: via small villages, your route takes you to Houghton Hall, a masterpiece of Palladianism and the seat of the first British Prime Minister. Alternatively, take a detour to the medieval Castle Acre with its impressive monastery walls. You return to King's Lynn on quiet paths past fields, meadows and old farmsteads. Perhaps there is time for a stroll along the waterfront – or a farewell dinner with local ale and a view of the evening light over the River Great Ouse.

Day 8: Individual departure

After breakfast, your journey of discovery through England's East comes to an end. Perhaps you would like to round off your bike tour in Norfolk with an extended stay? King's Lynn invites you to take a relaxing stroll through its old town – or a last cream tea with a view of the river before you say goodbye.
