Your journey begins in the medieval town of Vannes, known for its ramparts and lively marina. From here, quiet coastal paths and small country roads lead you across the Rhuys Peninsula towards Arzon and the charming harbour town of Auray with its historic Saint-Goustan quarter.
Boat crossings to the islands of Île d’Arz and Île aux Moines add a special touch to this tour, offering sandy coves, peaceful cycling routes and ever-changing sea views. Highlights also include the picturesque fishing ports and the famous megalithic stone alignments of Carnac.

Day 1: Individual arrival in Vannes
Your journey starts in the charming city of Vannes, surrounded by medieval ramparts and a lively marina. Wander through the narrow streets of the old town, admire the half-timbered houses, and soak up the historic atmosphere of this Breton harbor. A perfect beginning to your discoveries along the Gulf of Morbihan.
Day 2: Vannes - Île d'Arz - Sarzeau, approx. 20 / 30 km + ferry and boat trip
Today your biketour in Southern Brittany really begins! From Vannes harbor, take the ferry to the idyllic Île d’Arz and enjoy a leisurely stroll across the tranquil island. Back on the mainland, cycle through Séné and cross a short section by boat to Saint-Armel before reaching the Rhuys Peninsula. Your stage concludes in the charming town of Sarzeau, where Breton charm and coastal scenery await.
Day 3: Sarzeau - Arzon, approx. 25 / 35 km
This stage takes you along the southern coast of the Rhuys Peninsula. Discover the historic Saint-Gildas-de-Rhuys church and follow gentle coastal paths to Arzon. For those opting for the longer route, visit the magnificent Château de Suscinio – a medieval fortress that once served as a residence for the Dukes of Brittany.
Day 4: Arzon - Auray / Kerdréan, approx. 35 / 45 km + boat trip
Begin the day at the lively Port Navalo and take the boat across to Locmariaquer. Cycle through the varied landscape to reach Auray, a historic harbor town. Those choosing the longer route can explore the lively marina of La Trinité-sur-Mer and admire the famous Carnac megaliths. This stage is a highlight of your biketour in Southern Brittany, perfectly blending cycling with relaxing boat trips.
Day 5: Auray / Kerdréan - Vannes, approx. 35 / 30 km + ferry ride
On the final day, enjoy an unforgettable conclusion to your biketour in Southern Brittany. Start at the medieval port of Saint-Goustan and cycle on to Le Bono and Port-Blanc. From there, take the included round-trip ferry to the “Pearl of the Gulf,” Île aux Moines, which you can explore at your leisure. With the ferry back on the mainland, ride along the “Morbihan Riviera” to Vannes, where your journey ends – or extend your stay for an extra night.
Day 6: Individual departure
After breakfast, your cycle tour in South Brittany ends. Now begins your individual journey home or an extension of your stay in Vannes.
