Starting in the elegant city of Bordeaux, your route leads you through the Entre-deux-Mers area, on to the renowned village of Saint-Émilion into the historic Médoc. Along the banks of the Gironde estuary, wide open landscapes, charming villages and the impressive citadel of Blaye await.
Look forward to relaxed cycling stages on quiet roads, taste outstanding wines directly at the estates, and enjoy the unique atmosphere of southwest France. Day 1: Individual arrival in Bordeaux

Begin your Biketour around Bordeaux & Médoc in the elegant city of Bordeaux. Spend the day exploring its historic center, green parks, and flower-filled squares. Savor local cuisine and soak in the charming atmosphere of the Bordelais lifestyle.

Day 2: Bordeaux - Cadillac, approx. 50 km

Proud of its new transport infrastructure, Bordeaux has given bicycles pride of place. The route from the city center to Créon is comfortable. Follow the path to Créon a typical fortified village of the region. The route continues through the vineyards of Cadillac to the village ramparts.
A cultural highlight of the day is the visit to La Sauve-Majeure Abbey, a masterpiece of 12th-century Romanesque art adorned with beautifully carved decorations. Afterwards, enjoy a tasting of three wines from the Entre-deux-Mers region – a delightful introduction to the wines of Bordeaux.

Day 3: Round trip through the Sauternes vineyards, approx. 45 km

Today you continue your cycle tour around Bordeaux and Médoc to discover the famous Sauternes vineyards. Between dense forests and sun-drenched vineyards, you cycle through one of the most renowned white wine regions in France. The legendary Château d'Yquem soon appears on the horizon - a symbol of world-renowned sweet wines with their unmistakable honey aroma.
On small paths, you follow the course of the vineyards, discover traditional wineries and experience the special atmosphere of this unique terroir. On the way, you also have the opportunity to visit the final resting place of the painter Toulouse-Lautrec. Finally, you return to Cadillac via Loupiac, where you can relax and reflect on a day full of scenic and culinary highlights.

Day 4: Cadillac - Saint-Émilion, approx. 50 km

Cycle through the heart of Entre-deux-Mers, between the Garonne and Dordogne rivers. Stop in the picturesque village of Rauzan with its dignified medieval château before reaching the UNESCO World Heritage site of Saint-Émilion.
Here, you will enjoy an included wine tasting of the prestigious Saint-Émilion appellation wines in the cellar of a local winegrower – the perfect way to experience the elegance of this renowned wine region.

Day 5: Saint-Émilion - Blaye, approx. 65 km

Continue your biketour around Bordeaux & Médoc through the Bordeaux Supérieur and Côtes de Blaye vineyards.  The impressive citadel of Blaye towers over the Gironde and is a highlight of this stage.
You will also visit the Pair-non-Pair Cave, one of the world’s oldest decorated caves. Its prehistoric engravings from the early Upper Palaeolithic period depict horses, ibex, mammoths and other animals.

Day 6: Blaye - Bordeaux, approx. 60 km

The final stage of your biketour around Bordeaux & Médoc begins with a ferry crossing over the Gironde to Lamarque and through the famous Médoc vineyards. A detour to Pauillac and a stop at the legendary Château Margaux complete the journey before returning to Bordeaux.
To conclude your tour, enjoy an included tasting of Margaux appellation wines in the cellar of a local winegrower – a refined finale to your cycling holiday in one of France’s most prestigious wine regions.

Day 7: Individual departure

After breakfast, your tour around Bordeaux and Medoc ends and you start your individual journey home. We are happy to extend your stay in Bordeaux with an extra night.
