Day 1: Individual arrival, Constance – Schaffhausen, approx. 50 km
In the morning you hand in your luggage at our office by 10 a.m. and start cycling straight afterwards along the southern Swiss shore of Lake Constance to Stein am Rhein. Along the route you come across Castle Arenenberg and the monastery island Werd and cycle through picturesque fishing villages such as Gottlieben and Steckborn. Fresco-adorned half-timbered buildings and narrow alleys await you in Stein am Rhein. After an extensive tour of the town follow the Rhine, which has now left Lake Constance, to Schaffhausen.
Day 2: Schaffhausen – Rhine Falls – Radolfzell, approx. 55 km
After a good breakfast you cycle to the Rhine Falls, only about 5 km downstream from Schaffhausen. You can get right up close to them on a boat – an unforgettable experience! Then follow the Rhine upstream back to Stein am Rhein. From there you cycle along the Höri peninsula, which was home to Hermann Hesse and Otto Dix for a time, to Radolfzell. Enjoy the views over to Reichenau island and the Hegau volcanoes!
Day 3: Radolfzell – Constance, approx. 45 km + ferry trip
Today you leave the lower lake and cross the foothills of the Bodanrück before you get to Bodman-Ludwigshafen which is located on the northwestern part of the lake – the Überlinger See. From here the path takes you to Überlingen where you have time for a break along the town's pleasant lakeside promenade. Passing the pilgrimage church at Birnau, you continue on to Uhldingen. The reconstructed lake dwellings are well worth a visit before cycling on to Meersburg and then crossing over to Constance.
Day 4: Individual journey home or extension of stay
After breakfast your short cycling break to the Rhine Falls and Constance comes to an end. We are also happy to extend your stay.
