Once you have left Karlsruhe behind you, you will soon reach Ettlingen. In the evening, it is worth taking a stroll through the historic old town - with its charming half-timbered houses and townhouses, it is an atmospheric end to the day.

The day begins with a ride on the Sommerbergbahn. Once you reach the top of the high plateau, it's worth leaving your bike behind for a moment. The treetop path and the spectacularly curved suspension bridge WildLine open up impressive views of the rolling hills and deep valleys of the northern Black Forest. The route then continues along the Black Forest Panorama Cycle Path - past the mystical high moor landscape of Kaltenbronn - to Freudenstadt.
