Day 1: Individual arrival in Lübeck

Before the bike tour at the Baltic Sea takes you from Lübeck to Stralsund over the next few days, you first need to arrive. The magnificent Hanseatic city of Lübeck is the ideal starting point, as it gives you an idea of the maritime flair that awaits you on the tour. Lübeck's old town is a UNESCO World Heritage Site - the charm of the 880-year-old city can be felt on every corner.

Day 2: Lübeck – Wismar, approx. 75 km + ferry ride

The first stage of your bike tour at the Baltic Sea takes you from Hanseatic city to Hanseatic city. Once you have left the gates of Lübeck behind you, you will reach Travemünde. Take a small ferry across to the Priwall peninsula. Cycle along the Baltic Sea coastal cycle path through the idyllic Brooker Forest nature reserve and reach the Baltic seaside resort of Boltenhagen. After a dip in the cool water, you will cycle along adventurous cliffs, from where you will always have a fantastic view of the sea, to the Hanseatic city of Wismar.

Day 3: Wismar – Rostock, approx. 85 km

On the bike tour at the Baltic Sea, you first cycle from Wismar towards Kühlungsborn. The route alternates between cliffs and beaches. So pack your swimwear in your bike bags! You will reach your destination for the day in Rostock. The Hanseatic city impresses with its very well-preserved old town directly on the Warnow. It flows into the Baltic Sea in Rostock-Warnemünde. The sandy beach of the former fishing town is one of the widest on the German Baltic Sea coast.

Day 4: Rostock – Barth, approx. 95 km + ferry ride

In Rostock-Warnemünde, take the ferry to Hohe Düne. Cycle to Fischland-Darß-Zingst not far from the Baltic Sea coast. The 45-kilometre-long peninsula offers a lot of untouched natural landscape and flat cycle paths as well as a dune range in front of the Baltic seaside resort of Prerow, which, at 13 meters above sea level, offers a unique view of the surrounding area on a clear day. Cross the Meiningen Bridge, which connects the peninsula with the mainland, to reach the Vineta town of Barth, where you will spend the night today.

Day 5: Barth – Stralsund – Bergen, approx. 80 km

The bike tour at the Baltic Sea takes you to the island of Rügen today. Before you head for Germany's largest island, it's worth taking a break in Stralsund. The old Hanseatic city welcomes you with a listed old town and an abundance of brick buildings. Treat yourself to a coffee on the old market square before heading to Bergen via Stralsund. Pay a visit to the Ernst Moritz Arndt Tower and enjoy the view of Rügen.

Day 6: Bergen – Arkona – Sassnitz, approx. 105 km + ferry ride

From Bergen, you cycle to the north of Rügen. A ferry ride takes you to the Wittow peninsula. You will reach Cape Arkona, the northernmost point of Rügen. Climb the lighthouse there and experience the panoramic view of the surrounding area and the Baltic Sea. Continue via Breege and the Schaabe, a crescent-shaped isthmus, to the Jasmund peninsula. In Sassnitz, you can take a walk along the beach promenade with its villas in the spa architecture style. Or how about a visit to the striking green and white lighthouse at the end of the harbor pier?

Day 7: Sassnitz – Binz – Stralsund, approx. 95 km

The last stage of your bike tour at the Baltic Sea first takes you to Prora. Take a break for a swim on the long, shallow sandy beach. Not far from the beach are the kilometer-long Prora buildings, which were built in the 1930s and are among the longest buildings in the world. Cycle via the well-known Baltic seaside resort of Binz through the southernmost part of Rügen to Stralsund. At the end of the trip, treat yourself to specialties from Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania cuisine.

Day 8: Individual departure

After completing the last stage of your bike tour at the Baltic Sea from Lübeck to Stralsund and via Rügen yesterday, you will be leaving Stralsund today. We are also happy to extend your stay on the Baltic Sea!
