Bike & Boat Holidays 2027 - Rediscover Europe's most beautiful waterways

2027 planning means getting the best cabins. Anyone who has ever experienced a bike & boat trip knows the rhythm: get on the bike in the morning, sail into the next port in the evening - and the luggage has moved by itself. Because the ship is not just a means of transportation, but also your hotel, your dining room and your living room at the same time.

On this page you will only find Rad & Schiff trips with departure dates in 2027 - for all those who want to plan early and secure the best places on board. And the selection is growing: new routes and dates for 2027 are constantly being added.

Our tip: Experience shows that Croatia, the Netherlands and the Danube are booked up particularly early. If you have a specific date or ship in mind, it's best to decide now.

What is included on a bike & boat holiday?

This varies depending on the route and ship - but there are a few things that are almost always included: Your cabin on board with shower/WC, half or full board depending on the tour, and on most routes a rental bike is also included directly in the tour price. You don't have to worry about anything - neither luggage nor dinner. You can find a list of exactly what is included in the individual tour description.

Some highlights from our 2027 program can also be combined: If you prefer to bring your own bike, you are very welcome on most ships - just ask us when booking.

For whom are Bike & Boat Holidays 2027 the right choice?

For anyone who wants to travel actively - but doesn't want to check into a new hotel every evening. The ship is your fixed anchor: you move into your cabin on the first day and only leave it on the last. In between, you cycle as much or as little as feels right.

It's especially nice for couples with different fitness levels - if you feel like cycling, you can join us; if you prefer to enjoy a quiet day on the sun deck, you can do just that. Even first-time cruisers quickly get into the rhythm of the ship: The daily alternation of exercise, new impressions and a relaxed arrival is a format that you won't want to miss.

Frequently asked questions

Why is there a separate page for Bike & Boat Holidays 2027?
Many of our guests plan their annual vacation well in advance and look specifically for offers for a particular travel year. On this page you will only find routes with departure dates in 2027 - without detours, without mixed vintages. You can find trips with 2026 dates on our Bike & Boat overview page.

Is it really worth booking now for 2027?
Yes - especially for popular destinations such as Croatia, the Netherlands and the Danube. Depending on the route, the ships only hold 20 to 80 guests, and the popular summer and spring dates are often booked more than a year in advance. Those who decide early have the greatest choice of dates, routes and cabins.

What distinguishes Bike & Boat from a classic cycle tour?
On a classic cycle tour, you cycle from hotel to hotel and - at least in theory - lug your luggage with you. With Bike & Boat, you check into your cabin on the first day and only leave it on the last. The ship takes care of the logistics: it travels to the next port while you cycle. In the evening, it is already waiting for you - including dinner and your familiar cabin.

How fit do I have to be for a bike & boat holiday?
This is one of the great strengths of this travel format: you don't have to cycle every day. If you don't feel like it or need a rest day, simply stay on board and enjoy the sun deck. The daily stages are usually between 20 and 50 km long - pleasant for active leisure cyclists, not intended for sporty competitive cyclists. Many of our routes are largely flat, ideal for e-bike riders too.

Can I bring my own bike?
On most ships, yes, provided there is enough space. Alternatively, most of our bike & ship routes include a high-quality rental bike (often an e-bike) directly in the tour price. Details can be found in the respective tour description - or ask us directly.

What happens in bad weather or low water levels?
If you prefer to stay dry, simply leave the bike behind and stay on board - the ship will continue its journey in any case. In exceptional weather conditions or very low water levels, route adjustments may occasionally be necessary. This is a maritime reality - and your safety always comes first.

Are bike & boat trips also suitable for solo travelers?
The manageable group size on board - between 20 and 80 people depending on the ship - creates a family atmosphere in which you can quickly get into conversation. Shared meals, bike tours and harbor evenings create connections all by themselves. Many of our regular guests travel alone and return as friends.
