During the family cruise in Croatia, there are not only short bike tours on the program, but also easy hikes, boat trips, numerous swimming breaks and an exciting rafting tour through the Cetina Canyon. Families with slightly older children in particular will have a lot of fun. Because the program is designed according to the motto: Everything can, nothing must! So you can decide every day what you feel like doing. And if you just want to let the sun shine on your belly, then simply stay on board. The family cruise takes you to the most beautiful beaches in the south of Croatia and leads you to the hidden corners of the centuries-old towns. During the daily swimming breaks, you jump directly from your romantic motor sailer into the crystal-clear waters of the Mediterranean. And of course, there is also time for a relaxing cappuccino on this family cruise in Croatia - this is what a vacation should be like!

In the Comfort Category, you’ll travel aboard the motor sailboat Mirabela. If you’d like to treat yourself to a higher category, the Premium category aboard the motor sailboat Amore is the right choice for you.

Day 1: Individual arrival in Trogir, Trogir – Split (boat), swimming break, city tour and walk

Welcome to your family cruise in Croatia! You will be expected in the port of Trogir between 12.00 and 14.00. Before departure, you will pick up your rental bike and take a few laps. While the anchor is weighed, you will get to know the ship, your crew and your fellow travelers in a relaxed atmosphere. The first swimming break is taken on the crossing to Split – the clear Mediterranean Sea off the coast of Croatia promises pure vacation! Split is the second largest city in Croatia and also the capital of Dalmatia. After an entertaining city tour through the alleyways of the old town, you can join a walk through the Marjan forest park. Over 400 protected plant species grow and thrive in this nature reserve.

Day 2: Split – Makarska Riviera (boat), rafting tour and swimming break

If your children are already teenagers, this day will be the highlight of your family cruise: the rafting tour is coming up! Abstract rock formations towering up to 180 m above the crystal-clear water mark the Cetina Canyon. An experienced skipper will instruct you on technique and equipment and then you're ready to go: You sail across the river over rapids and past waterfalls. You will observe numerous fish, dragonflies and ducks, and with luck even water turtles and free-living horses. During two breaks, you can refresh yourself in the river or dare to jump into the water from a 5 m high rock. If you do not wish to join the rafting tour, you will have plenty of time to visit the town of Omiš. Back on board, your ship will take you to Makarska Riviera. Naturally, the anchor will be dropped for another swimming break en route. Makarska Riviera is known above all for its fine, light-colored pebble beaches, which are repeatedly interrupted by rugged rocky sections.

Day 3: Makarska Riviera – Kućište (boat), bike tour approx. 10 km, short hike and wine tasting

Your ship will take you to the Pelješac peninsula today. The southern Dalmatian town is not only a popular vacation destination, but also a famous wine-growing region. Famous Croatian wines such as Postup and Dingač thrive particularly well on the peninsula! A beautiful cycle route takes you from Kućište to Orebić, the largest town on the island. After a short tour of the town, you can hike to the 16th-century Franciscan monastery. It was built around 150 m above sea level. A magnificent view over the Croatian coast opens up before you! Back in Orebić, a tasty wine tasting awaits you. Can you taste the sun over Croatia? Then cycle back to your motor sailer.

Day 4: Kućište – island of Mljet – island of Korčula (boat), guided walk, boat trip and swimming break

During breakfast, you will sail to the island of Mljet, which is extensively protected as a national park. A guided walk shows you the obvious and hidden beauties of the untouched nature. There are two salt lakes in the middle of the park, which are only connected to the sea by a narrow channel. In the larger of the two lakes, there is a small monastery island. You cross over to the island by boat. Hopefully, you have your swimming gear with you, as the water in the salt lake is usually 2°C warmer than that of the Mediterranean. Back on board your ship, the next destination of your family cruise is Korčula on the island of the same name. With its massive walls, the old town almost resembles a fortress and is also known as Little Dubrovnik.

The Old Town of Korčula

Day 5: Island of Korčula – Island of Hvar (boat), bike tour approx. 15 km, cappuccino, swimming break, city walk and short hike

Much of the island of Korčula is covered in dense pine forests, which is why it was also known as the black island in the Middle Ages. A short cycle tour takes you to Račišće. However, you cycle less through the forests and more directly along the sea. Enjoy the postcard-perfect views of the seemingly endless waves of the sea. Your boat awaits you in Račišće. But before boarding, we invite you to enjoy a cappuccino. The crossing to the island of Hvar will of course be interrupted for an extensive swimming break. Once you arrive in Hvar, you can join a guided walk through the town of the same name and then hike to Španjola Fortress. The approximately 20-minute climb is well worth it, as you can enjoy a wonderful view over the town and the offshore islands. Back on board, the ship sets course for one of the surrounding bays. At this idyllic location, the Captain's Dinner is on the program today, which, like your entire family cruise, is relaxed and easy-going.

Franciscan Monastery in Hvar

Day 6: Island of Hvar – Island of Brač (boat), bike tour approx. 25 km and swimming break

In the morning, you sail around the north-western tip of Hvar to the oldest settlement on the island. Stari Grad has long since relinquished its supremacy to Hvar, with only the palace still bearing witness to its past glory. Explore the island and the romantic fishing village of Jesla by bike before your boat sets course for the island of Brač. The most famous beach in Croatia awaits you: Zlatni Rat, the Golden Horn. The bright beach juts out several hundred meters into the Mediterranean. Depending on the current, the tip constantly changes direction. During storms in winter, the beach can be completely washed away, only to reappear in its entirety a few days later. Bathing, splashing around and swimming are particularly fun at this location.

The Golden Horn in Bol

Day 7: Island of Brač – Trogir (boat), bike tour approx. 15 km, swimming break and city tour

A short, rewarding cycle tour brings you closer to the island of Brač. Of course, there will be a stop at the Golden Horn so that you can refresh yourself in the Mediterranean. You will then sail around the southwest coast to a secluded bay, where lunch will be served. Use the time for an extensive swimming break, as the last crossing of your family cruise in Croatia is now due: You set course back to Trogir. The museum city with its mighty walls and fortified towers is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Within the city walls, the different eras harmonize side by side and with each other: churches, residential buildings and palaces, built in the Romanesque, Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque styles, stand side by side. A guided tour of the city provides an insight into the old courtyards and explains all kinds of interesting facts about the city. You spend the night in the harbor.
