Cycling is more of a secondary activity on this leisure cruise: you are not just in the saddle but also out on foot and in a canoe: on a guided tour of a town, a short hike, a visit to a scent garden or a canoe tour through the Zrmanja Canyon - the agenda is so varied that there will be something for all tastes. Swimming is on this tour in Croatia also high on the agenda: as soon as the boat drops anchor, you can hop right off the deck of this romantic motor sailboat into the crystal clear waters of the Adria! The daily trips to the islands in Kvarner Gulf all have one thing in common: they are all easy going and great for families and inexperienced travellers. Anyone who's not so keen on leaving the boat can stay on board and enjoy the sun.

Your cruiser: MS Kapetan Kuka, MS Aria and MY Alpha
It couldn't be more elegant - MS Kapetan Kuka sets sail! Pero, indefatigable captain, celebrated his comeback with the purchase of this ship in 2016. He has put his all into overhauling the boat very thoroughly. The new cabin fittings and the new bathing platform at the stern are just great. While Sandra-Marie, German-Croatian daughter of the captain, prepares tasty meals, you can relax on the sun deck. If it gets too hot, simply jump right off the boat into the crystal clear water of the Mediterranean to cool down.
Since his son took over the boat in 2015, Captain Jure Tomaš takes care of his new boat, the MS Aria. By the way, in the Dalmatian dialect, Aria means air. The majestic motorized sailing boat set sail for the first time in spring 2016. Look forward to a trip on this new comfortable boat and be pampered by the crew; relax in a deck chair on the large sundeck after wonderful bike tours.
From the summer season 2020 a new motor yacht will be sailing the waves of Kvarner Bay: the MY Alpha. It's perfectly fitted for the needs of bike & boat holiday-makers who would like to enjoy the same luxury of a hotel room when they're on holiday. From the spacious sun deck, enjoy watching the Mediterranean around you. You'll find more relaxation in the whirlpool or dive into the sea itself from the bathing platform at the stern.
Show more Show lessDay 1: Individual arrival in Rijeka, Rijeka – Cres Island (by boat), swimming, walks along the coast and tours of the towns
The crew on board your boat expects you between 11 and 13.30 in the harbour of Rijeka for your swim & cruise tour! Over a welcome-drink, you get to know the crew and your fellow passengers as the romantic motor-sailboat sets sail. Out in the bay, you stop for the first jump into the sea you've been longing for! When you arrive on Cres island, you can go for a walk along the coast. After the evening meal there's still enough time for a walk through the town.
Day 2: Cres island - Lošinj island (by boat), swimming, cappuccino and scent garden
During the crossing to Lošinj island, watch the Kvarner Gulf passing you by. With a bit of luck, you might see a group of Adria dolphins that feel particularly at home around Lošinj island. After lunch on board, you drop anchor in the harbour of Mali Lošinj. Have a cappuccino on the promenade and watch the hustle and bustle. Next, you can go on a trip to a nearby scent garden: on a tour you can find out all about over 250 different scented plants that grow and flourish in the garden.
Day 3: Lošinj island – Zadar (by boat), bike tour approx. 20 km, swimming and town tour
Pine forests and spruce trees cover the unspoiled island of Molat, which you explore today either by foot or in the saddle. You're back on the boat on time for some lunch. On the crossing to Zadar, the former capital of Dalmatia, the swim & cruise tour comes into its own when you drop anchor in a lovely bay for a wonderful opportunity to go for a swim. It's that definitive holiday feeling! The historic quarter of Zadar, today's destination, is surrounded by mighty walls. On an entertaining tour of the town you get to know all sorts of facts about the traditional old buildings and their history.
Day 4: Zadar – Pag island (by boat), kayak tour and swimming under water falls
Today, you leave the sea and paddle up the river Zrmanja to the canyon of the same name. A bus transfer takes you to the jetty where you get your kayak. The karst-river glitters in the typical emerald green colour here. After a few twists and turns and rapids, there are some stunning waterfalls at one of the most beautiful places of the river. A swim here is just wonderful. After a picnic, you paddle on through the Zrmanja Canyon and, from your kayak, are in the best place for watching the many twittering birds. After the tour, the bus takes you back to your boat.
Note: At high water levels, this trip is done in large dinghies (rafting).
Day 5: Pag island – Rab island (by boat), bike tour approx. 20 km, swimming, town tour and walk along coast
You set course for Pag island today, in the north-west point of Pag island, to Lun. Here you can go on a guided tour of a wonderful Mediterranean olive grove. Naturally there will be time today for a swim before you go to Rab island. The historic quarter of Rab stretches over a long headland. The characteristic bell towers of the four churches can be seen from afar. If you like, you can take part in a guided tour of the town to its most important buildings. Next, wander along the coast, with the waves of the sea in view, to the Franciscan monastery, Sveta Eufemija.
Day 6: Rab island – Krk island (by boat), bike tour approx. 15 km, walk and swimming
On Rab you have two options to choose from to explore the island: either by way of an easy-going bike tour or a mountain hike. You can climb the Kamenjak by foot, which rises 408 m above the sea. An impressive panorama opens up at its peak: take in the Kvarner Gulf with its islands and nature parks, towns both small and large and the seemingly endless waves of the Mediterranean. Back on board, you head for one of the many lonely little bays - the swim & cruise tour is justified in calling itself such on this holiday! The next destination is Krk island, which is one of the largest islands in the Adria. The evening comes to a pleasant end over the Captain's Dinner.
Day 7: Krk island – Rijeka (by boat), town tour, swimming and hike
If you want, start the day with an easy-going walk through the town. As today is your last day on board the boat, there is a particularly long stop planned for swimming. Jump right off the deck into the crystal clear water! Next, you set sail for Rijeka. Once the boat has been moored, there's enough time for a walk to the pilgrimage place of Trsat, which is located above the town. The incline, up 485 steps is worth it, as you have wonderful views from the fortifications over Kvarner Gulf and the route you've taken on your swim & cruise tour.
