Day 1: Individual arrival in Litoměřice

Welcome to Litoměřice, one of the most beautiful towns in northern Bohemia! The old town captivates visitors with its colorful Renaissance facades, the imposing St. Stephen's Cathedral, and charming squares. Take a leisurely stroll through the historic streets or explore the wine-growing region on the Radobýl. End the evening in one of the quaint restaurants overlooking the Eger River and get in the mood for your upcoming trip on the Eger Cycle Route.

Day 2: Litoměřice – Louny, approx. 55 km

Your first stage takes you through the picturesque Bohemian Central Mountains. A stop in Theresienstadt provides an insight into the eventful history of the region. The route continues through idyllic villages, past vineyards and the imposing ruins of Hazmburk Castle. The route winds its way through charming small towns with lively market squares until you finally reach Louny. Explore the historic city fortifications or relax and unwind in a cozy beer garden with a view of St. Nicholas Church.

Day 3: Louny – Kadaň, approx. 75 km

Today's stage offers a delightful mix of nature and culture. In Žatec, the “world capital of hops,” you can visit the Hop Museum or stroll through the historic old town. The route leads past Stekník Castle and the Nechranice Dam, which is a great place to take a short break. Finally, you will reach Kadaň, whose medieval town center with its winding streets and imposing Franciscan monastery is well worth exploring. In the evening, it is worth visiting the old city walls, from where you can enjoy the sunset over the Eger River.

Day 4: Kadaň – Karlovy Vary, approx. 50 km

On the way to Karlovy Vary, you will pass Klášterec with its fairytale red castle. The route winds through the legendary Doupov Mountains, a former military area that now offers unspoiled nature. Kyselka, once one of the most famous health resorts in the world, is worth a stop before you reach the elegant Karlovy Vary. Stroll along the magnificent colonnades, sample the famous healing waters, or treat yourself to a soothing spa treatment – the perfect end to the day.

Day 5: Karlovy Vary – Cheb, approx. 60 km

Follow the Eger River on a beautiful route through the Slavkovský les (Imperial Forest) nature reserve. The medieval town of Loket with its imposing 14th-century castle is the first highlight of the day. Continue to Sokolov, where you can discover the magnificent castle and historic town center. Along the way, quaint breweries and cozy country inns invite you to stop for a bite to eat. In the afternoon, you will reach Cheb, one of the most historic towns in Bohemia. Explore the famous Stöckl, stroll through the alleys of the old town, or enjoy dinner in one of the traditional restaurants.

Day 6: Cheb – Weißenstadt / Bischofsgrün & excursion to the source of the Eger, approx. 55 / 70 km

Your last day of cycling takes you across the border to Germany. Pass through idyllic villages such as Markleuthen and Röslau before continuing on to Weißenstadt. Here you will find a large swimming lake, perfect for a refreshing break. But before you end your trip, the crowning glory of the Eger Cycle Route awaits you: the source of the Eger in the Fichtelgebirge (Smrčiny). A short but rewarding climb takes you to the source of the river that has accompanied you throughout the tour. Surrounded by dense forests, this place marks the perfect end to your journey. Back in Weißenstadt, you can relax and unwind at the end of the day – whether with a walk by the lake or a visit to the local thermal baths.

Day 7: Individual departure

After a leisurely breakfast, your journey on the Eger Cycle Route comes to an end. Take the opportunity to explore the idyllic surroundings a little longer or relax in one of the nearby spa towns. With many wonderful memories in your luggage, you can begin your journey home.
