Via Kitzingen and Ochsenfurt, the first stage of your cycling tour around Würzbur takes you first to the old royal seat of Würzburg. The city is dominated by the Marienberg Fortress and the Würzburg Residence, which sit enthroned above the Main River. The imposing Würzburg Cathedral and the Falkenhaus on the market square are also particularly worth seeing. The tour then takes you across the Old Main Bridge to Karlstadt. The Main Cycle Route takes you quickly via Gemünden to Lohr. The town, characterised by countless half-timbered houses, has the nickname Snow White's Town. In Wertheim you can experience the castle towering high above the town, whose keep offers an impressive view of the town and the River Main.
