After discovering the Lithuanian countryside, continue your cycling vacation from Lithuania to Poland, where you can explore the untouched Wigry National Park. Here you can enjoy the view of deep blue lakes and extensive forests before cycling on to the Masurian Lake District, which is known for its impressive nature and expansive waters. You soon reach the Vistula Lagoon, along the coast of which you cycle towards Elbląg to visit the famous Marienburg Castle. In the evening, enjoy culinary specialties from Lithuanian cuisine - the perfect start to your cycling vacation in Lithuania and Poland.
After breakfast, get to know the most beautiful corners of Vilnius' old town on a guided tour. In the afternoon, a transfer will take you to Užutrakis. From there, you cycle over rolling hills and along numerous lakes to Trakai. The former capital of the Lithuanian Grand Duchy fascinates with its famous moated castle, which sits picturesquely on an island in Lake Galvė.
In the morning, a transfer will take you to Merkinė, from where your cycle tour to Druskininkai starts. You cycle through an idyllic landscape and pass Liškiava with its impressive monastery ensemble from the 17th and 18th centuries. In Druskininkai, your destination for the day and a spa town steeped in tradition, you will find healing mineral springs and the extensive Grūtas Park, where sculptures from the Soviet occupation of Lithuania are on display - once in their original locations, now united in a unique collection.
In the morning, a transfer will take you to the Dzūkija National Park, Lithuania's largest national park, which impresses with its endless pine forests. On your cycle tour through Lithuania and Poland, you will follow quiet paths through dense forests and picturesque villages where time seems to have stood still. The vast, unspoiled landscapes make this stage a special experience for nature lovers. In the afternoon, you can either relax in Druskininkai or explore the well-developed cycle paths of the forest on an additional circular tour.
In the morning, a transfer takes you across the Lithuanian-Polish border, where your cycle tour begins through a gently undulating landscape with views of glistening lakes and dense forests. On the way, you will pass Suwałki, the largest town in the region, before reaching the Wigry National Park. The untouched nature with deep blue lakes and extensive forests is one of the most beautiful parts of your cycle tour through Lithuania and Poland. Your destination for the day is the small village of Gawrych Ruda, idyllically situated on the lakeshore and ideal for relaxing after the tour.
Today you will explore the Wigry National Park on a circular tour along marked cycle paths. Lake Wigry, with its 15 islands, is one of the largest and deepest lakes in Podlaskie and forms the impressive backdrop to your stage. On the way, you will visit the historic Kamaldolese monastery from the 17th century. The impressive building complex with church is picturesquely situated on a peninsula and offers fascinating insights into the life of the reclusive monks. In the afternoon, continue by minibus to the Masurian Lake District, the Land of a Thousand Lakes. Your stage destination, Giżycko, is considered the sailing capital of Poland.
On today's stage of your cycling vacation in Lithuania and Poland, you will first cycle around one of the large Masurian lakes. In the afternoon, a transfer will take you to the Vistula Lagoon, a saltwater lagoon that was created as part of the Baltic Sea after the last ice age when the glaciers retreated. You reach Braniewo, one of the oldest towns in Poland, which impresses with its numerous historical buildings. Frombock, known as the place where the famous astronomer Nicolaus Copernicus worked, is just a stone's throw away. You will spend the night in Braniewo or Frombock.
You will cycle along the picturesque coast of the Vistula Lagoon to Elbląg, a former Hanseatic city founded by the Teutonic Order. In the afternoon, a transfer takes you on towards Gdańsk, with a stopover in Malbork, where you can visit the impressive Marienburg - the largest brick Gothic building and former center of power of the Teutonic Order. On arrival in Gdańsk, you finally reach the destination of your cycling vacation from Lithuania to Poland.
In the morning, you cycle to Sopot, one of Poland's largest seaside and spa resorts with a long sandy beach and wonderful views over the Bay of Gdańsk. You then return your rental bikes and take part in a guided tour through the old town of Gdansk, whose numerous churches, gates and historic buildings tell of over a thousand years of the city's history.
After breakfast, your cycling vacation in Lithuania and Poland comes to an end. You start your individual journey home.
