The former capital of the Lithuanian Grand Duchy impresses with its famous 14th century moated castle, picturesquely situated on an island in Lake Galvė.

Your cycle tour takes you along quiet paths through dense forests and picturesque, traditional villages where time seems to have stood still. The vast, unspoiled landscapes make this stage a special experience for nature lovers. In the afternoon, you have the choice: relax in the spa town of Druskininkai or explore the well-developed cycle paths of the forest on an additional circular tour.

Day 5: Druskininkai – Suwałki – Wigry National Park – Gawrych Ruda, approx. 45 km + transfer

In the morning, a transfer takes you across the Lithuanian-Polish border. Once you arrive in Poland, your cycle tour begins through a gently undulating landscape with wonderful views of glistening lakes and dense forests. On the way, you will reach Suwałki, the largest city in the region and an important cultural center. It is worth making a short stop here to discover the charming old town and the classicist buildings. The tour then continues to the Wigry National Park. The untouched nature with deep blue lakes and dense forests makes this section one of the most beautiful on your cycling holiday in Lithuania and Poland. Your destination for the day is the small village of Gawrych Ruda, idyllically situated on the lakeshore - the perfect place to end the day in a relaxed manner.

Day 6: Circular tour in the Wigry National Park, approx. 45 km

Lake Wigry, with its 15 islands one of the largest and deepest lakes in Podlaskie, forms the impressive backdrop to your stage. On the way, you will visit the historic Kamaldolese monastery from the 17th century. The impressive building complex with a church and 17 hermitages is picturesquely situated on a peninsula and offers fascinating insights into the life of the reclusive monks. After cycling around the lake, you return to Gawrych Ruda and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere by the water.

Day 7: Gawrych Ruda – Augustów – Goniadz, approx. 55 km + transfer

On today's stage of your cycling vacation in Lithuania and Poland, you follow the GreenVelo route through a beautiful lake landscape. Along the way, you will cycle along the historic Augustów Canal, an engineering masterpiece from the 19th century that connects the region's waterways. Your destination is Augustów, a small but lively town on the River Netta. It is considered the gateway to the Suwałki region and attracts visitors with its relaxed atmosphere and picturesque riverside promenade. After a short break, a transfer takes you to Goniądz, which is idyllically situated on the edge of Biebrza National Park – a true natural paradise with extensive wetlands and unique wildlife.

Day 8: Goniadz – Biebrza National Park – Warsaw, approx. 40 km + transfer

During the tour, you will pass numerous cultural and historical sights, which you can later discover individually. Alternatively, the city's many parks, museums and cafés invite you to relax and enjoy the flair of the Polish capital.
