Cycle tour around the Mecklenburg Lake District

In Waren, which has been a designated health resort since the beginning of the 19th century, you are already in the middle of the Mecklenburg Lake District. At the southern tip of the lake, you can observe the 19 brown bears in the Bear Sanctuary Müritz or take a hike through Tal der Eisvögel (valley of the kingfishers). Once you arrive in Plau, you should definitely pay a visit to the castle tower. The 3-metre-thick walls have defied all adversity for over 500 years and are just as impressive as the 11-metre-deep dungeon.

Alt-Schwerin is idyllically situated in the middle of this pristine natural landscape.
