Take a stroll through sophisticated Zurich and extremely charming Lucerne. Impressive highlights of your cycle tour from Constance to Interlaken are the Rhine Falls in Schaffhausen and Einsiedeln Abbey. Accompanied by the stunning mountain panorama, you will also experience Swiss history. In Küssnacht, follow in the footsteps of Wilhelm Tell as you stroll through the famous Hohle Gasse.

Day 1: Individual arrival in Constance

The arrival day of your cycle tour from Constance to Interlaken belongs entirely to the largest city on Lake Constance. A day on the flower island of Mainau with its butterfly house, Italian water staircase and numerous restaurants is certainly a highlight. If you don't have enough time, take a stroll through the old town with its beautiful harbor and cathedral. If you are not afraid to climb the 193 steps to the tower platform, you will be rewarded with a magnificent view over the city and Lake Constance.

Day 2: Constance – Schaffhausen, approx. 50 km

You cycle out of Constance, always along the shores of Untersee. You cycle through picturesque Swiss fishing villages to Stein am Rhein. Stroll through the pretty old town with its elaborately painted medieval houses. You follow the Rhine to Schaffhausen, sometimes on the German side, sometimes on the Swiss side. The town's landmark - the Munot fortress – can be seen from afar.

Day 3: Schaffhausen – Zurich, approx. 55 km + train ride or 70 km

Just a short distance by bike and another highlight awaits you on your cycle tour from Constance to Interlaken. Discover the Rhine Falls, one of the largest waterfalls in Europe, up close. Take a boat to the Rhine Falls rock, from where you can feel the power of the water (not included). Following the Glatt valley, you cycle to the fascinating cosmopolitan city of Zurich. After a stroll through the well-preserved old town, enjoy your time on the lively banks of the Limmat.

Day 4: Zurich – Einsiedeln, approx. 35 km + train ride

Leaving Zurich behind you, you cycle along the Gold Coast, as the northern shore of Lake Zurich is also known, to Rapperswil. Here you can see the imposing castle from afar. You cycle over the dam and then uphill. But don't worry – you don't have to pedal yourself here. The train will take you to Einsiedeln, the most visited place of pilgrimage in Switzerland. The Black Madonna in Einsiedeln Abbey attracts pilgrims and tourists from all over the world.

Day 5: Einsiedeln – Lucerne, approx. 75 km

Strengthen yourself for the day over breakfast, because today you are tackling the queen's stage of your cycle tour from Constance to Interlaken. You will cross several mountain ranges before reaching Lake Zug. It's worth taking a break in Küssnacht. The town is famous for the Swiss national hero William Tell. Follow in his footsteps in the Hohle Gasse, where Tell is said to have shot the bailiff Hermann Gessler.

Day 6: Lucerne – Interlaken, approx. 65 km + train ride

After leaving Lucerne behind you, you pass Lake Sarnen and reach the village of Giswil. Take the train over the Brünig Pass to Brienz. Cycle along the beautiful turquoise-colored Lake Brienz, lined with steep mountain slopes, to Interlaken in the heart of the Bernese Oberland. If you want to get up high, take a trip up the Harder Kulm, the town's local mountain. From the viewing platform, you can enjoy a wonderful view of the impressive mountains.

Day 7: Individual departure or extension

After breakfast, your cycle tour from Constance to Interlaken unfortunately comes to an end. If you would like to explore the region for longer, we will be happy to book you an extra night in Interlaken.

    Mostly flat route on asphalt cycle paths and separated cycle lanes. Between Einsiedeln and Lucerne quite hilly in places with some stages of pushing.
  • Parking information
    Fenced parking lot at our office, costs: 49 € / trip, can be booked online.
    Free parking on public roads.
  • Return to Constance
    Optional minibus transfer (Thursdays only), departure approx. 2 p.m., duration approx. 3.5 hours, must be specified when booking. If you do not wish to continue directly after the transfer, you can book additional nights in Constance.
    Alternatively, you can take the train yourself, connections every half hour, duration approx. 2.5 hours. Direct trains every hour, otherwise 2 changes.
