You will be riding through beautiful and impressive landscapes such as the Danube bend, the Wachau, and the Danube loop in Schlögen on the Danube cycle path. Need a break? Your cruiser: MS SE-Manon

The MS SE-Manon is a premium boat that was last renovated in 2019. On board you are greeted by a relaxed atmosphere: You start your days in your comfortably furnished cabin, equipped with hotel beds. After your trip on the Danube cycling path you can unwind in the wellness area, which is equipped with a sauna, a whirlpool, and a small gym. Or you could relax on the large sundeck. Want to be in the water instead of just having a great view of it? Then try the outside pool (8,70 m x 4,50 m) in the stern of the ship. The restaurant has a panorama view and will take care of your culinary well-being. The library and the saloon are perfect for letting a wonderful day come to an end.

MS SE-Manon

Day 1: Individual arrival in Passau, Passau – Engelhartszell (boat)

The MS SE-Manon – Your swimming hotel for your boat and bike tour from Passau to Budapest – will be waiting for you in the port of passau, the “city of three rivers”. Boarding will start at 16.00. The boat will be leaving towards Obernzell early in the evening. Be sure to plan your arrival in a way that leaves enough time for you to explore Passau. The baroque era historic district of the former bishop's residence and St. Stephens cathedral are absolutely worth visiting. You could also visit the fortress Veste Oberhaus and the pilgrimage church Mariahilf. You will arrive in Engelhartszell at around 19.00.

Passau

Day 2: Engelhartszell – Untermühl, approx. 35 km, Untermühl – Bratislava (boat)

You should visit the collegiate church in Engelhartszell – Austria's only Trappist monastery. The collegiate church is one the most beautiful churches built in the late baroque era. Your route will then take you downstream through the romantic river landscape of the Danube loop, where the Danube seems to flow the opposite way. Cycling through picturesque villages and past lush green wooded slopes you will soon arrive in Untermühl. During the night the MS SE-Manon will take you to Bratislava.

Day 3: Round trip from Bratislava, approx. 55 km, Bratislava – Budapest (boat)

Early in the morning the MS SE-Manon will arrive in Bratislava, which is located only 55 km away from the next large capital: Vienna. From here you start your cycling trip via Hainburg towards the impressive palace “Schloss Hof”. The palaces magnificent terraced garden is said to be one of the most beautiful baroque gardens in Europe. Via Devin you continue on your way back to the capital of Slovakia. Enjoy the terrific view of your surroundings from the four-towered Bratislava Castle. During the night the MS SE-Manon will take you to Budapest.

Day 4: Day off in Budapest or a bicycle tour to Szentendre, approx. 50 km, Budapest – Visegrad (boat)

A new day, a new capital. Your boat and bike tour has taken you to Budapest, where you have arrived during the night. Early birds will be able to enjoy the view of the city from the sun deck. Take your time exploring Budapest and its numerous sights. You have the choice: Explore the city on your own or go on a guided tour. A more active alternative to sightseeing in Budapest would be a bike trip to the charming artist's village Szentendre. In the evening we recommend a city tour by bus through the romantically illuminated Budapest (not included). During the night the MS SE-Manon will leave Budapest and take you to Visegard.

Day 5: Visegard – Esztergom, approx. 25 / 60 km, Esztergom – Wien / Korneuburg (boat)

The former kings residence Visegrad is where you start today's bicycle tour through the mellow hills around the Danube bend. You can choose betwen two different routes: The longer route will lead you to the baroque town Vác and Szentendre island. The shorter route will directly take you to Esztergrom near the Hungarian-Slovenian border. The birthplace of the first Hungarian king is considered the cradle of the nation. The Basilica in town is absolutely worth visiting. In the evening the MS SE-Manon will start to make its way towards Vienna – the third capital of your Danube cruise. The boat will either dock in Nußdorf district or in Korneuburg, a suburb of Vienna.

Esztergom

Day 6: Day off in Vienna, Wien – Wachau (boat)

The day off in Vienna allows you to thoroughly explore the city and its numerous sights. Some of the more well known sights are Schönbrunn palace, the historic district and St Stephen's cathedral, Hofburg, and the magnificent boulevard Ringstraße . Once again you can choose between going on guided tours(not included) or going exploring on your own. Take a break and visit one of Vienna's many coffee houses. Feel like some musical entertainment? How about an atmospheric waltz and operetta evening(not included). The MS SE-Manon will leave the Austrian capital during the night and head further upstream towards Dürnstein or Rossatz.

Day 7: Wachau – Melk – Pöchlarn, approx. 40 km, Pöchlarn – Passau (boat)

Today's bike trip will take you through the mellow hills of the Wachau region and its characteristic Wine terraces. You will cycle past historic monasteries and palaces as well as picturesque villages. Along the way numerous wine taverns offer the possibility to stop for a break. The highlight of your tour today will most likely be the collegiate church Melk. It is one of the largest and most important baroque era buildings in all of Europe. In Pöchlarn you get on the boat for the last time. While the boat makes its way back to Passau, the crew of the MS SE-Manon will serve you a grand farewell dinner.

Day 8: Individual departure or extension of stay

Today your eventful boat and bike tour from passau to Budapest comes to an end. The MS SE-Manon will reach Passau around 10.00. Your journey home starts after disembarking from the ME SE-Manon.
