The river cruise ship MS Primadonna accompanies you on your journey by boat and bike through Austria and Hungary along the Danube. You arrive individually in Passau and have some time to visit the famous Three Rivers City until embarkation in the late afternoon. Your first cycling stage starts at the spectacular Schlögener Schlinge, from where you cycle on to Linz, the capital of Upper Austria. The MS Primadonna will take you on to the most famous Danube metropolis, Vienna, from where it is not far to neighbouring Hungary. In the Hungarian city of Esztergom, once the capital of Hungary, you have the opportunity to take part in a guided tour of the magnificent cathedral. The cathedral houses the largest altarpiece in the world, painted entirely on a single canvas. Once you arrive in what is now Hungary's capital, you can explore the city and surrounding countryside by bike. On the way back, your ship will stop again in Bratislava and Krems until you finally arrive back in Passau.

Your cruiser: MS Primadonna
The second largest cruise ship on the Danube was built in 1998 and overhauled in 2009. Since then, the MS Primadonna has offered one thing above all: comfort. With a length of 113.5 metres, the luxury ship offers a restaurant and bar, as well as a theatre and a wellness area. The luxury is rounded off by the huge panorama window. Due to the double hull, the MS Primadonna has the rare possibility of this great observation platform. Don't miss out on anything on your trip and enjoy every minute on this unique ship.
The spacious cabins have individually adjustable air conditioning, a large wardrobe as well as a TV and a safe. On the upper and promenade deck, each cabin has a balcony.

Day 1: Individual arrival in Passau, Passau – Schlögen (by boat)
If you have never been to the three-river city of Passau, you should definitely plan some time for a short sightseeing tour. St. Stephen's Cathedral and the confluence of the Inn and Ilz rivers into the Danube, which changes water colour twice, are definitely worth a visit. The ship's crew of the MS Primadonna will then welcome you from 4.00 pm. After you have settled into your cabin, your bike and ship journey begins at 8.00 pm with the welcome dinner. In the evening the ship sails to Schlögen.
Day 2: Schlögen – Linz, approx. 55 km, Linz – Tulln (by boat)
Halfway between Passau and Linz is the natural spectacle of the Donauschlinge. Here the Danube winds twice, only to return to its easterly direction of flow. From here you set off on your first cycling stage. You cycle leisurely along the Danube until you reach Linz, your destination today. Of course, you will not want to miss out on a real Linzertorte. During the night, the MS Primadonna will take you to Tulln.
Day 3: Tulln – Vienna, approx. 35 / 50 km, Vienna – Komárom (by boat)
At the city of flowers you change back onto your bike. Don't miss the enchanting gardens of Tulln. In the Austrian capital you arrive at lunchtime and have the whole afternoon to explore Vienna. Whether it's a Heurigen tavern or a coffee house, Vienna has something for everyone. In the evening, enjoy a two-hour city tour by bus. Overnight, continue your journey by ship from Austria towards Hungary.
Day 4: Komárom – Esztergom, approx. 55 km, Esztergom – Budapest (by boat)
The Danube forms the border between Hungary and Slovakia on this section of the route. During the day you cycle on the left side before you reach your destination, the sister cities Štúrovo (Slovakia) and Esztergom (Hungary). The two cities are opposite each other and with each bridge crossing you also cross the national border. In the afternoon you can visit Saint Adalbert's Cathedral, the world-famous landmark of the city. In the evening you continue your journey to Budapest.
Day 5: Sightseeing Budapest & excursion to Margaret Island, approx. 20 km, Budapest - Bratislava (by boat)
In the morning you will explore the Hungarian capital by bus. In Budapest you will discover similarities to Vienna again and again. Especially the coffee house culture could also inspire the Hungarian capital. In the afternoon you get back on your bike to start today's cycling stage on car-free cycle paths to Margaret Island. The island, located in the Danube between the city halves of Buda and Pest, is known and loved by tourists and locals alike as a recreation area. Stroll through the wide English-style park areas and the large rose garden. Back on the ship, cruise the Danube at night to Bratislava.
Day 6: Bratislava & excursion to Devín and Hof Castle, approx. 35 km, Bratislava - Melk / Emmersdorf (by boat)
In the morning you will arrive in the third capital on your journey by boat and bike through Austria and Hungary: Bratislava! You will explore the city on a guided city tour. In the afternoon you start a round trip by bike, which takes you to Devín. There you will see the castle ruins enthroned on the castle rock from afar. The castle is the national monument of Slovakia and many Slovaks see the origin of their nation here. You continue through the meadows of the Morava River to Hof Castle and then return to Bratislava by bike. During the night, the MS Primadonna takes you to Melk / Emmersdorf.
Day 7: Cycle tour through the Wachau, approx. 50 km, Plöcharn - Passau (by boat)
Probably the best-known section of the Austrian Danube Cycle Path leads through the wine-growing region of Wachau. You leave the ship at Melk to cycle through this beautiful region. From the wine-growing area you enter the so-called Mostviertel, where you will find many pear trees whose must gave the region its name. In Grein, today's cycle tour ends at the oldest residential castle in Austria, the Greinburg. On the last evening of your journey by boat and bike through Austria and Hungary, you will cruise comfortably back to Passau at night.
