On this unique trip By bike and boat from Athens to Corfu, you will experience the perfect combination of cultural highlights, fascinating nature and relaxed island flair. The motor sailer Panagiota is your floating home and accompanies you on an unforgettable journey through the island world in western Greece - between the mainland and the islands of Aegina, Ithaca, Meganisi, Lefkas, Paxos and Corfu. Historical places such as the legendary Delphi or Ithaca, the home of Odysseus, are on the program as well as hidden natural treasures, such as the waterfall of Nidri. By bike, you will explore well-preserved temples, ancient theaters and ride through silvery olive groves with magnificent views of the deep blue sea. A special highlight of the trip by bike and boat to the Ionian Islands is the spectacular passage through the Corinth Canal - a technical masterpiece and an unforgettable experience. Extensive swimming breaks on picturesque beaches and the warm hospitality of the Greeks also make this trip so special.

  • Notes
    A helmet is compulsory on the bike tours. We therefore ask you to bring your own bicycle helmet!
    Unfortunately, it is not possible to bring your own bicycles and e-bikes on this trip due to the lack of space on deck.
    There is no WiFi connection available on the Panagiota. If you need internet access during your trip, we recommend that you take your laptop or tablet to a café or bar at the port. Free WiFi is offered almost everywhere. If you order something there, you can make unlimited use of the WiFi.

Day 1: Individual arrival in Athens / Piraeus

Your journey by bike and boat from Athens to Corfu begins in Athens. A shared transfer (not included, on request) takes you to Marina Zeas in Piraeus, the historic port of the Greek capital. Embarkation on the MS Panagiota begins in the afternoon at around 2.00 pm. In the evening, the first dinner takes place on board, ideal for getting to know the crew and your fellow travelers. You will spend the night on board in the port of Piraeus.


Day 2: Piraeus – Aegina Island (ship), round trip Aegina Island, approx. 35 km, Aegina – Corinth Canal – Galaxidi (ship)

In the morning, you will take the ship to the Greek island of Aegina, which is known far beyond the country's borders for its high-quality pistachios. Your first bike tour takes you to the impressive Temple of Aphaia. Situated high up, it offers a spectacular view of the surrounding area. In the afternoon, you will cross the Corinth Canal by boat. If the weather conditions are good, the journey continues towards Galaxidi, a charming coastal town with a maritime flair. If the weather prevents you from continuing, you will spend the night in or near Corinth.


Day 3: Galaxidi – Delphi – Nafpaktos – Mesolongi (transfer)

Today, the bike stays on board - instead, a coach trip to Delphi, one of the most important sites of ancient Greece, awaits you. Immerse yourself in the world of mythology and history, where the famous Oracle of Delphi once predicted the future of rulers from all over the world. On a tour of the extensive excavation site, you will discover impressive remains such as the Temple of Apollo and the ancient stadium. Around midday, the bus takes you to Nafpaktos, a charming little harbor town. There is time here for lunch or a stroll through the town. Continue by bus to Mesolongi. Your ship will be waiting for you in the harbour.


Day 4: Mesolongi – Ithaca Island (boat), island tour, approx. 35 km

In the morning, you will set off on a longer crossing by boat to Ithaca - another highlight of your trip by bike and boat from Athens to Corfu. Weather permitting, you can enjoy a refreshing swim in the crystal-clear sea en route before docking in the picturesque port of Vathy. In the afternoon, explore Ithaca by bike: a pristine, mountainous island with breathtaking landscapes and authentic flair. Off the beaten track, you will experience the tranquillity and beauty of nature. Olive groves, steep coastlines, spectacular views and the deep blue sea accompany you on your tour. Overnight stay in Vathy.


Day 5: Ithaca – Meganisi island (boat), Meganisi – Lefkas island, approx. 20 / 30 km

In the morning, the crossing to Meganisi island begins. You cycle along lonely, panoramic island roads through original villages and gain authentic insights into traditional Greek island life. A relaxing swim break on the beach at Spartochori rounds off the morning. In the afternoon, you will continue your journey by boat to Nidri on the island of Lefkas. There you have the opportunity to cycle through rustic olive groves to the hidden waterfall of Nidri - a worthwhile detour into the green nature of the island. Overnight stay in Nidri.


Day 6: Nidri – Lefkas town, approx. 30 km, Lefkas – Paxos island (boat)

Today you also have a varied stage ahead of you on your trip to the Ionian Islands by bike and boat. The cycle tour takes you through the impressive mountain world of Lefkas to the island's capital. Along the way, you can expect magnificent views over the sea and a well-earned break in the traditional mountain village of Karia - with fresh coffee and Greek serenity at lofty heights. In Lefkas Town, you will board the ship again. After a long crossing, you reach the island of Paxos. In the evening, you will reach the idyllic natural harbour of Gaios.


Day 7: Round trip on the island of Paxos, approx. 25 km, Gaios – Corfu (boat)

Paxos, the smallest of the seven Ionian Islands, is characterized by endless olive groves, which give the landscape its characteristic silvery-green color. In the morning, you will explore the entire island by bike. Along the way, idyllic bays invite you to take a refreshing dip in the Mediterranean. In the afternoon, the ship will take you to the island of Corfu. Get to know the Venetian old town of Corfu Town on a walk. In the evening, a cozy dinner will be served on board the ship.


Day 8: Disembarkation and individual departure

Your trip by bike and boat from Athens to Corfu ends with numerous wonderful impressions. After breakfast, you disembark and start your journey home. A shared transfer to Corfu airport (not included) is available on request.
