On Guernsey, you will discover the charming island capital of St. Peter Port. You cycle along long, white sandy beaches and over gently undulating meadows and fields. You will pass beautiful gardens with colorful flowers and historical relics such as watchtowers and chapels. The largest Channel Island, Jersey, impresses with its diversity. Cliffs, dunes, medieval castles and magnificent gardens await you on your cycle tours. The small island pearl of Sark is visited on foot. You will also be amazed by the unspoiled nature of the island. There are neither paved roads nor cars. No matter where you are on your cycle tour on the Channel Islands, you are always very close to the sea and can feel the wind and the salt on your skin.

Day 1: Individual arrival in St. Peter Port (Guernsey)

After your arrival on Guernsey,check into your hotel in St. Peter Port. Then get to know the island's capital a little bit. In addition to the hilly old town center, the waterfront promenade is also worth seeing. If you've arrived by ferry, you will certainly have noticed Castle Cornet. The 800-year-old castle off the coast has always guarded the city's harbor.

Day 2: Excursion to the south and west coast of the island of Guernsey, approx. 45 km

Your first cycle tour on the Channel Islands takes you to the hinterland of the island. You cycle along quiet paths across gently undulating meadows and fields. In Les Vauxbelets, you will visit the Little Chapel, one of the island's most popular landmarks and certainly worth a picture. You have reached the sea in Rocquaine Bay. At low tide, you can walk across to Lihou Island. Cycle back to St. Peter Port along the south coast, accompanied by a view of the sea.

Day 3: Excursion to the island of Sark, hike + boat trips

Leave the bikes behind and take the ferry to the small island of Sark. It is a journey back in time. There are no cars  and no street lighting on the island. Discover the small rocky island on foot. It only spans an area of 5.5 km². Small wooded areas and lush meadows characterize the interior. Its rugged coastline with sandy and pebbly bays can also be explored with a horse-drawn carriage.

Day 4: Excursion to the north coast of the island of Guernsey, approx. 40 km

Today you will get to know the north coast of Guernsey on your cycle tour of the Channel Islands. First you cycle past the Saumarez Park gardens. Then continue onwards to Cobo and Saline Bay. Those long sandy beaches are among the most beautiful on the island. Even further north the imposing coastal watchtowers such as the Rousse Tower and a well-preserved burial site from the 2nd millennium BC awaits your visit. You cycle back to St. Peter Port along the coast via Bordeaux.

Day 5: St. Peter Port (Guernsey) - St. Helier (Jersey), boat trip

After getting to know the island of Guernsey over the last few days, you will now take the ferry to the largest Channel Island. Jersey's capital St. Helier is located in the south of the island on a long bay. Nearby Elizabeth Castle awaits located on a tidal island just around the coner. At low tide, you can reach the castle on foot; at high tide, an amphibious vehicle will take you to the island.

Day 6: Excursion to the west coast of the island of Jersey, approx. 50 km

Cycle along the long sandy beaches to the picturesque harbor town of St. Aubin. Cycle along a former railroad line to the extreme south-western tip of the island. Here, the snow-white lighthouse sits enthroned on a tidal island and defies the storm and waves of the Atlantic. Your cycle tour on the Channel Islands takes you north along the shallow St. Ouen's Bay. After a short stop in the small harbor of Grève de Lecq Bay, you cycle back to Saint Helier.

Day 7: Excursion to the east coast of the island of Jersey, approx. 35 km

On the last cycle tour on the Channel Islands, you explore the east of Jersey. The pleasantly flat route takes you to picturesque Gorey. This is a great place to stay. The relaxed fishing town with its pastel-colored houses and beautiful harbor is perfect for a longer break. Take a stroll to Mont Orgueil Castle, which towers majestically over the town. Or enjoy freshly caught fish in a restaurant with a view of the glittering sea. Freshly fortified, cycle back to St. Helier.

Day 8: Individual departure

After breakfast, your exciting cycle tour on the Channel Islands is unfortunately already over. You will have to set off on your journey home or extend your stay.

    The cycle stages mainly lead along cycle paths and low-traffic side roads (so-called green lanes) and unpaved natural paths, with shorter sections also following main roads. Flat stretches alternate with hilly terrain, some sporty climbs are part of the cycle tour, so you should be in good physical condition.
