Day 1: Individual arrival in Freiburg

Freiburg's 116-metre-high Gothic cathedral tower will immediately catch your eye as you arrive for your Bike tour in Alsace and Southern Germany. Treat yourself to a freshly grilled Münsterwurst amidst the lively hustle and bustle of the Münstermarkt. The little streams running through the historic alleys are one of the trademarks of this friendly town. You have a wonderful view of the Black Forest and Alsace from the Schauinsland, Freiburg's local mountain.

Day 2: Freiburg – Colmar, approx. 60 km

With a view of the Tuniberg and the Kaiserstuhl, you cycle towards the towers of St. Stephen's Minster, part of the beautiful town of Breisach. You cross the Rhine by bike and continue your way on the French side. Via Neuf-Brisach and Sundhoffen you reach the charming town of Colmar. The Unterlinden Museum with the famous Isenheim Altarpiece by Matthias Grünewald is well worth a visit. Old, well-preserved half-timbered houses and bridges decorated with flowers add to the dreamy atmosphere of the Petite Venise district.

Day 3: Colmar – Andlau / Obernai, approx. 55 / 70 km

The Alsace Wine Route is the focus today. You cycle through picturesque wine villages. The numerous typical Alsatian half-timbered houses are characteristic. You will meet some wine taverns and passionate winegrowers along the way. After passing the beautifully situated villages of Riquewihr and Barr, you reach stylish Obernai. This walled town is the legendary birthplace of Saint Odilia, the patron saint of Alsace. In the market square with the chapel tower, you will find yourself in the middle of the architectural heritage from the Middle Ages and the Renaissance.

Day 4: Obernai – Strasbourg, approx. 55 / 40 km

Leaving the beautiful vineyards behind, you cycle through the lovely Alsatian countryside and follow the river Bruche from Molsheim. You will reach the Alsatian capital Strasbourg with its outstanding cathedral. Let yourself be infected by the dynamism of the capital of Europe on the Place Kléber. The charming district of La Petite France with the so-called tanners' quarter is a must-see!

Day 5: Strasbourg – Ettenheim / Münchweier, approx. 60 km

From Strasbourg you cross the Rhine and cycle via Kehl through the Baden region. You reach Ettenheim on the Upper Rhine. Situated in the midst of a wonderful vineyard landscape, the historic townscape with baroque town houses is wonderfully complemented by medieval half-timbered houses. You will spend the night in Ettenheim or in the district of Münchweier.

Day 6: Ettenheim – Freiburg, approx. 50 km

You cycle through small villages on slightly hilly cycle paths back to the sunny city of Freiburg. Enjoy the view of the vineyards of the Kaiserstuhl and the foothills of the Black Forest. Stroll through the historic old town, treat yourself to a delicious wine from the Markgräfler Land or hop on the Schlossbergbahn in the city garden, which will take you up the Schlossberg - great views guaranteed!

Day 7: Individual departure

After breakfast, your Bike tour in Alsace and Southern Germany unfortunately comes to an end. We are happy to extend your stay with an extra night in Freiburg.
