Hello, Hoi and Salut from the Netherlands, Belgium and France! The journey by bike and boat from Maastricht to Paris takes you from the south of the Netherlands across Belgium to the capital of France. Relaxed you start this guided tour not far from Maastricht. Your floating hotel for this 15-day trip will be the MS Miró - a fine little ship that lacks neither comfort nor an experienced ship's crew. You will travel to the heart of Paris via the rivers Meuse, Sambre, Scheldt, the Canal du Nord, the Oise and the Seine. While the ship sails from mooring to mooring, you will cycle on the journey by bike and ship from Maastricht to Paris through varied landscapes and get to know historical places as well as the lifestyle of the different regions. If you ever don't want to cycle, you can skip the stage and spend time on the ship. Since boat tours are always dependent on local conditions, such as water levels, the itinerary may change before or during the tour.
The starting point alternates between Maastricht and Paris. Available dates are shown in the booking form.
Please note that the overnight locations of the two routes differ slightly.
The salon yacht MS Miró was launched in 1916, converted to a luxury ship in 2005, completely renovated in 2012 and sails under the Dutch flag. The ship is led by skipper Mart and wife Elly and a small, attentive crew. For a maximum of ten people, the ship offers comfortable cabins, a cozy salon with panoramic windows, open fireplace and house bar. For the name, by the way, the Spanish painter and artist Joan Miró was the godfather.
