Day 2: Excursion to Adri, approx. 40 km

Leave Girona behind- today's route begins west of the city. The area is well known for its flowing single trails and its primal landscape. You soon reach the green Adri Valley, where rolling hills, forests and small watercourses accompany the route. You will pass the extinct volcano of Adri its striking rock formations are a momento to the region's volcanic past. The mountain bike path features forest trails, open passages and even some technical sections this mountain bike tour in Catalonia does not disappoint. The tour ends with a fast descent back to Girona - a dynamic start to a week of cycling.

Day 3: Girona — Sant Feliu de Guíxols, approx. 55 km

The route at first follows the Green Route out of the city. Here the urban environment is quickly replaced by tranquil nature. After a few kilometers, the ascent into the Gavarres Mountains begins. Gentle hills, unpaved paths and flowing single trails characterize this stage. Typical of this region are the extensive cork oak forests characterizing this mountain bike tour in Catalonia. Alternating climbs, narrow forest paths and individual technical passages provide variety. Finally, you return to the greenway before the stage ends directly on the beach of Sant Pol. The hotel is just a few steps from the sea - perfect for relaxtion or to take a refreshing dip into the ocean.

Day 4: Sant Feliu de Guixols — Calella de Palafrugell, approx. 60 km

A climb into the Gavarres mountains awaits right at the start. Even though this stage is shorter, it is demanding in terms of altitude. The mountains will reward you with sweeping views over the Costa Brava and the Mediterranean sea.
The descent leads you tothe secluded bay of Cala Castell, one of the most beautiful and pristine corners of the coast. Turquoise water and tranquil nature invite you to take a break or even include a refreshing swim. The final climb awaits before the route heads towards Calella. Along the way, a small hut with a door in the surreal style of Salvador Dalí provides an unusual, artistic accent that fits in perfectly with this mountain bike tour in Catalonia. The destination is the charming fishing village of Calella, where colorful houses and Mediterranean flair invite you to relax.

Day 5: Calella de Palafrugell —Torroella, approx. 45 km

The stage starts in Calella with a climb up to the small town of Begur. Its medieval castle can be seen from afar offering sweeping views across the Empordà plain to the Mediterranean. The route then leads through a coastal dune area, where Mediterranean pine forests provide shade and an exciting scenic contrast. Another highlight is the excellently preserved village of Pals. Cobblestones, natural stone houses and a historic atmosphere invite you to slow down for a moment. Finally, you cross the river Ter and reach Torroella de Montgrí. The striking silhouette of Montgrí Castle towers above the village - an impressive finale to today's stage.

Day 6: Torroella — Figueres, approx. 65 km

The ascent into the Montgrí massif provides a sporty change right at the start. Rocky passages, some technical trails and sweeping views towards the coast make this section a highlight of the mountain bike tour in Catalonia. After the descent, you reach L'Escala and the ruins of Empúries, located directly at the sea. The Greco-Roman archaeological site combines history with a Mediterranean ambience and invites you to take a short break. The route then leads into the tranquil interior through extensive apple orchards. The route continues via Peralada to Figueres, where the Dalí Theater Museum provides an extraordinary end to the day.

Day 7: Figueres — Flacà — Girona, approx. 65 km

From Figueres, the route leads through forests and agricultural landscapes, passing small villages that offer insights into local life. The crossing of the Ter river marks a change in scenery- just before you reach Flaçà - a good point to take the train back to Girona- if you like.  Of course you can continue your cycling tour. Climb the Gavarres mountain to reach the Els Àngels viewpoint. Here you can enjoy a sweeping view over Girona and the surrounding area. The final descent takes you back to the city.  Relax for a moment on the terraces and enjoy cozy dinner while reflecting on today's varied mountain bike tour.
