Radweg-Reisen goes Velopicknick

On Sunday, April 26, 2026, it was time again to get on your bike and enjoy it together! For the third time, the cross-border Velopicknick on Little Venice attracted numerous cycling enthusiasts to the German-Swiss border between Constance and Kreuzlingen - and we from Radweg-Reisen were right in the middle of it, not just watching from the sidelines. With bright sunshine, spring-like warm temperatures and a great atmosphere, the Lake Constance region once again showed itself from its most beautiful side.

Early in the morning, our colleagues Yasmin, Lars and Julia set off with our brand new e-transporter and lots of equipment. Once on site, our stand was set up with great dedication - ready for an eventful day full of encounters, conversations and new impressions.

The bike picnic itself offered a very special atmosphere: a route that is usually reserved for traffic became a relaxed adventure route for cyclists of all ages. Families, leisure cyclists and ambitious touring cyclists enjoyed the car-free ride along Lake Constance and the Seerhein as well as through the two neighboring towns. It is precisely this mixture of exercise, nature and community that makes such events so appealing - and fits perfectly with our philosophy.

Our stand was very busy throughout the day: many interested visitors took the opportunity to find out more about our cycle tours throughout Europe. Our popular tours around Lake Constance and our classic tours along major rivers were particularly popular. We also provided insights into our used bike sales, presented our rental bike models for visitors to touch and try out and diligently handed out catalogs and practical Lake Constance maps for the next tour planning.

A special highlight - especially for the younger guests - were our Radweg-Reisen gummy bears, which we generously distributed throughout the day. But many adults were also happy to help themselves. The little snacks not only put everyone in a good mood, but also led to many nice encounters at our stand.

In addition to the discussions with cycling fans, the exchange with other regional players was also a real highlight for us. The Velopicknick offered a great platform to network with partners, clubs and companies from Constance and Kreuzlingen and to share our enthusiasm for cycling.

In the late afternoon, it was time to say goodbye. With a little tired legs, but all the more beautiful memories in their luggage, our three dismantled their stand and made their way back to the industrial area of Constance. What remained was an all-round successful day full of inspiring conversations, new contacts and lots of cycling love - and, admittedly, a little bit of sunburn.

We are already looking forward to the next Velopicknick!
