Day 1: Individual arrival in Bruges

After checking in on your ship between 13:30 and 14:00, you will have plenty of time to get to know Bruges. Grab your bikes and explore the Venice of the North on your own. Discover the medieval charm of Bruges along the Reien, as the locals call the many canals. Worth seeing are the high Belfry and the Gothic Stadthuis. Before getting back on the boat, it's worth making a detour to the Frietmuseum - a museum dedicated, among other things, to the history of French fries, a well-known Belgian invention.

Day 2: Bruges - Ghent (Merelbeke), approx. 35 / 60 km

The first stage of your bike and boat trip from Bruges to Amsterdam takes you to Ghent. In the city of de drie torens - the three towers - medieval flair meets the modernity of a student city. Gravensteen Castle in the middle of the city and the Sint-Baafskathedraal with its impressive altars and works of art are sights worth seeing. At nightfall, it is worth taking an evening stroll through the old town, which is bathed in atmospheric light.

Day 3: Ghent (Merelbeke) - Dendermonde / Sint-Amands, approx. 40 / 55 km

You cycle along the River Scheldt through the green heart of Flanders to Dendermonde. The medieval market square and the Sint-Alexius-Beginenhof are just some of the highlights of this small town in the east of Flanders. If you want to spend more time on your bike, you can cycle all the way to Sint-Amands. Alternatively, your boat will take you there.

Day 4: Dendermonde / Sint-Amands - Antwerp, approx. 35 / 50 km

Before you reach today's destination of Antwerp on the cycle and boat trip from Bruges to Amsterdam, you will cycle through Temse, known for the longest bridge in Belgium. In Antwerp, you will follow in the footsteps of the Baroque painter Peter Paul Rubens and other world-famous artists. Visit the Rubens House, the city brewery De Koninck and Het Steen Castle. Taste the Antwerpse Handjes and the sweet creations of local chocolatiers. Take a stroll and find out why Antwerp is known as the city of diamonds.

Day 5: Antwerp - Kreekrak locks (boat), Kreekrak locks - Tholen, approx. 20 / 35 km, Tholen - Dordrecht (boat)

You will travel north by boat from Antwerp along the Scheldt-Rhine Canal. You start your cycle tour at the impressive Kreekrak locks through the Wouwse Plantage forest to Tholen. You get back on board and cycle via the Volkerak lock complex to Dordrecht. A walk through your destination for the day takes you to the Grote Kerk. Despite the leaning of the church tower, you can climb it, and the beautiful panorama over the city will reward you for your climb.

Day 6: Dordrecht - Kinderdijk (boat), Kinderdijk - Schoonhoven - Vianen, approx. 35 / 60 km

After completing the first part of your stage on the Waterbus, you will reach the most famous windmills in the Netherlands at Kinderdijk. On your way to Vianen, you will pass Schoonhoven. This pretty little town, once a center of silver and goldsmithing, is known for its silver museum and the Bartholomeuskerk.

Day 7: Vianen - Breukelen (boat), Breukelen - Amsterdam, approx. 35 / 45 km

Before you reach the destination of your bike and boat trip from Bruges to Amsterdam, your boat will take you to Breukelen. You cycle along the River Vecht through a landscape criss-crossed by canals and dotted with stately homes and parks. You reach Amsterdam via Muiden. Historic canals, world-class art museums and hundreds of buildings worth seeing await you in this multicultural and exciting city.

Day 8: Individual departure

After breakfast, your journey by bike and boat from Bruges to Amsterdam ends. Disembarkation takes place by 9.30 am and individual departure.
