Day 1: Individual arrival in Stralsund

The starting point for your cycling tour is the old Hanseatic city of Stralsund. Stroll through the old town which was founded by the Slavs and was developed into a city by the Westphalians. The city was under Swedish control for 200 years before being taken over by the Prussians. The upkeep of the historical architecture of the town led to its declaration as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Marine Museum is also worth a visit.

Day 2: Stralsund – Hiddensee – Breege / Glowe / Sagard, approx. 15 – 20 km + boat trips

In the morning you take the ferry via Strelasund to Hiddensee island. There's enough time to visit the 28-m high lighthouse, known as the Dornbusch Beacon. Be inspired by the very pretty countryside you'll see from the top. In the afternoon, the boat takes you to Wittow peninsular on Rügen. Refreshed by the sea air, hop on to your bike and pedal to the port of Breege or a few more kilometres on to Glowe or Sagard.

Day 3: Trip to the chalk cliffs, boat trip or approx. 20 – 50 km

The short but strenuous bike ride takes you along the Schaabe, which connects the peninsulas of Wittow and Jasmund in a crescent shape, up to the famous Königsstuhl chalk cliffs. From the top you get to enjoy a magnificent view over the Baltic; an old set of 412 wooden steps takes you down to the beach. If you'd rather do without the climb up to the chalk cliffs, you can get closer to these famous rocks by boat (not included) from Sassnitz and see them from the sea.

Day 4: Breege – Göhren / Sellin, approx. 30 – 50 km

On the peninsular of Mönchgut, you pass the impressive Prora buildings. Today's section includes two very special highlights: Binz awaits you with a huge bathing area, while Sellin has the longest pier to Rügen. And miles and miles of fine white sand around Göhren. Enjoy your evening on Rügen with a lovely walk along the beach.

Day 5: A day spent swimming or walking on the Mönchgut peninsula

Our special tip is Mönchgut peninsular because of its so varied countryside. Depending on how you feel you can choose between a relaxing day swimming at the beach or a wander through the dunes along a heath and through the local woodland. Both options are a welcome change for your legs!

Day 6: Göhren – Greifswald, approx. 50 km + train and ferry trip

When you set off on today's part of the Three-Islands Cycle Tour, you can look forward to a very special highlight: Rasende Roland (Speedy Roland), the historic 19th century steam train takes you to Putbus. After only a few kilometres on your bike, a ferry takes you back to the mainland. The Hanseatic town of Greifswald, steeped in tradition, is waiting for you!

Day 7: Greifswald – Wolgast, approx. 50 km

Today you will be cycling along the Baltic Coast cycle path to Wolgast, the gate to the island of Usedom. You pedal through charming lake, moor and meadow countryside and experience the beauty of the Baltic Coastline - up close! Take the time for a wander through the charming historic quarter of Wolgast, with its timber-framed buildings and brick houses.

Day 8: Wolgast – Heringsdorf, approx. 40 km

You cycle along the Peenestrom straits to get to Usedom, the last island in your Three-Islands Cycle Tour. The path takes you along the so-called Krumminer Wiek to the Baltic spa town of Zinnowitz. From there, you cycle along the forested coastline. On the way there are plenty of opportunities to go for a swim at any of the lovely, sandy beaches. When you get to the magnificent Imperial seaside resort - you have reached your destination.

Day 9: Individual departure or extended stay

After breakfast your Three Island Cycling Tour comes to an end. We would, however, be more than happy to extend your stay on the Baltic Sea.
